  1. What is the cost of the class?
    The cost of the class is $100 per household and is held virtually.
  2. How do I register?

  3. What will I learn from this Intro to Beekeeping course?
    You will gain a great understanding of the startup, supplies, legality, treatments and the amazing outcome of beekeeping.  It should help you get though the initial act of receiving new bees and caring for them throughout the season.  Plus, not to mention, there is a great raffle at the end of the course that you do not want to miss!
  4. What is included in the cost?
    The cost of the course includes a one year membership to the LVBA, all of the virtual sessions with seasoned beekeepers, and the in-person hands on instruction at the apiary by people who are passionate about the need for bees in the universe.  Without honey bees our world would be obsolete.  We try to assist you in evolving from a bee haver into a beekeeper.   Also included are resources for you to use to help make your apiary a thriving one.
  5. What happens if I miss a class?
    We understand life is busy.  We will try our best to fill you in, but wit the low cost and speed of the course, we are unable to offer makeup classes.  We strongly suggest utilizing your LVBA membership where you will have access to other members that have been through what you are going through and have helps others with the same questions.  The beekeeping community is out of this world and beekeepers make the best friends.
  6. What if I have further questions?
    The class is live, we love questions but must make sure we included everyone and can get to everyone's questions.  We have a live chat available during the course and you have always send an email.
  7. What if I have never been around bees?
    That is OK!  We will have an hands on apiary demonstration where you can put your knew knowledge into practical use.  There you will perform a hive inspection and interact with live bees.  This is the best part of the class and what everyone cannot wait for!
  8. What is included in an LVBA club membership?
    There is too much to mention, in short we have monthly meetings with presentations, exposure to experienced beekeepers, fun events, and priceless comradery!
